catalytic applications of coated nanopalladium particles coated on modified GO by Thymbraspicata extract in Suzuki coupling reactions

Abstract

In this research coated palladium nanoparticles was synthesized on modified GO by thymbraspicata extract with simple and green procedure and used as adequate and renewable nanocatalyst for Suzuki coupling reactions between phenylboronic acid and different aryl halides. The Pd NPs/RGO Nanocatalyst was synthesized by surface modification of GO and in-Situ reduction. The extract of Thymbraspicata was used as a reducing and immobilizing agent for Pd nanoparticles. The results show that Pd(0) nanoparticles are completely dispersed on the GO functionalized surface. Pd NPs/RGO nanocatalyst as a recoverable nanocatalyst shows high catalytic activity in Suzuki coupling reaction. In addition, the synthesized catalyst can be reused several times without significant altering its catalytic activity.
