A polymer was synthesized from a mixture of epoxy resin and mica for electrical insulation purposes. When epoxy resin is mixed with mica powder and a suitable curing agent is subsequently added to this mixture so that it melts at a specific temperature, a paste-like homogeneous mixture is obtained which could be moulded as this film. These films have insulating properties. The insulation period of this insulator could also reach up to 20 Kilovolts.
