Abstract

In this research we report new complexes with the formula 5-(2-pyridyl)-2-(3,5-dinitro benzen)-1,3,4- oxadiazole ligand with Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II) and Cd(II). These complexes were synthesized and characterized by IR spectroscopy, electronic spectroscopy, atomic absorption spectroscopy (AAS) , atomic absorption and elemental analysis and physical properties. In these complexes the oxadiazole bidentate ligands links to the metal ion through the Npyridine and one of the Noxadiazole atoms. This result trials showed that stoichiometry ratio of L/M in primary material do not significantly depend on the products the ligand-to-metal ratio. The biological activity of complexes was studied on McCoy cell line. The biological data of antioxidant activity by these complexes on McCoy cells imply that complexes inhibit the McCoy viability. Morphological studies showed significant change of treated cell shape.
