A simple, efficient and convenient method for the synthesis of 2,4,6-triarylpyridines by a one-pot reaction of aromatic aldehydes, acetophenone derivatives and ammonium acetate under solvent free media at 120oC in the presence of Alumina Sulfuric Acid is described. The products were formed in good yields.
